FRENN is once again the best clothing brand in Eetti's sustainability report
Pro Ethical Trade Finland aka Eetti examined for the third time the sustainability efforts and communication of Finnish clothing companies. This year, the study also looked into extending the product lifecycle. The highest score in the report, 26/29, was awarded to FRENN, a men's clothing brand launched in 2013 by Jarkko Kallio and Antti Laitinen.
The Rank a Brand 2021 report evaluated the climate, environmental, and human rights efforts, as well as the transparency of 34 Finnish clothing brands. FRENN received full points for its climate efforts and the longevity of its clothing.
From the very beginning, sustainability and transparency have been the cornerstones of FRENN's business. With long experience in the textile and clothing industry, Antti and Jarkko wanted to build a more honest and sustainable future with FRENN.
Transparency and Service
The country of manufacture and the names and addresses of partner factories for each product are openly shared on the company’s website. FRENN provides customers with alteration, repair, and recycling services as part of a comprehensive service package. In the Helsinki metropolitan area, the brand also offers home fitting and home delivery services.
Finnish Functional Design
FRENN's design and product development are based on high-quality, eco-certified materials made in Europe and ethical local production in low-risk Baltic countries. Designer Antti Laitinen expertly combines garment structure and materials to create pieces that are comfortable for different occasions throughout the day. Durability, longevity, and versatility are key aspects of FRENN's strong lifecycle philosophy. Nearly half of the collection consists of timeless and continuous classics that are always available.

Commitment to Sustainability Continues with Circular Economy Innovations
FRENN remains at the forefront of responsible business by exploring and testing new, more eco-friendly recycled materials and innovative business models.
In autumn 2021, the brand launched an outerwear collection made from organic and recycled materials. Next spring, a new jacket and trouser collection made from GOTS-certified organic cotton will make its debut. Additionally, all online orders are shipped in 100% recycled and recyclable packaging bags, designed for easy shipping and returns.
