Finland’s most sustainable layers were created as a result of many years of work. We searched for the best possible materials for each garment, the most comfortable fits, and tested them ourselves. This is how the most eco-friendly and functional layers for everyday situations were made.
Dress for the weather
As the weather gets colder, it’s good to layer up with all your clothing layers. That’s how it’s always been. With just a few versatile and long-lasting garments, you can get by for a long time. In any weather.
When the materials and fits are right, it’s easy to mix and match different pieces and layers based on the day and the weather. Nothing is too formal or too casual to wear together. Timeless classics can be paired with the season’s new colors, and it’s easy to slip a vest under your parka for extra warmth. Always with style, without forgetting comfort.
Responsible European materials
Our designer, Antti Laitinen, selects the perfect fabric for each product to ensure comfort and easy maintenance. For example, all our pants are machine washable at home. The quality of the old days is at the core of our work. Only then can the product withstand long-term use.
Certifications guarantee
All fabrics in the collection have an international certification ensuring the most ecological and ethical production. Outer jackets and vests are made from Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certified recycled polyester and recycled wool. All cotton products in the collection are made from Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton. The knitwear is made from Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified extra fine merino wool.

Functionality made easy
Each clothing layer has its own purpose. The base layer breathes and feels good against the skin. The mid-layer provides warmth and is comfortably flexible. The outer layer keeps the wind and water out. By combining these layers in different ways, you can create the perfect outfit for any day. It’s comfortable to wear and move in, and you stay warm.

ONE-YEAR REPAIR WARRANTY
We have carefully selected our partners, which is why we confidently offer a one-year repair warranty on all our products. The warranty covers items that have been in use for less than 12 months, and you have 2 months to report any issues after noticing the defect. If there’s a manufacturing fault in the garment, we will repair it or replace it with a new one. You are responsible for ensuring the garment is worn normally and washed according to the care instructions.
If your garment is damaged for any other reason, our Helsinki store offers a professional repair service for FRENN clothing.
Provenly responsible
At FRENN, we take responsibility for our words. For the second consecutive year, we received top marks from the Ethical Trade Finland (Eetti Ry) in their sustainability study, which examined the climate, environmental, and human rights efforts of 35 Finnish clothing brands, as well as their transparency.
